This is the first away game of the season. I'm planning on getting myself a 16-25 railcard for this season and get the train down to this one. I know leedstaff (Matt) is going to this aswell. Anyone else fancy it?

I will be there. Its like a home game being only a 30 mins train ride. it would be good if we could get a few more aswell.

Renewed 'away membership' and ticket for Donnie are in the post so i'll be wherever at whatever time. Leeds station i presume - it can take as little as 30 mins so...
i'll be there, i'll be there

I will be at the keep moat stadium , trying to find a pub round the ground tho for pre match drinks, not much there tho , and the centre's a 30 mins walk away.
There is a bar at the bowling alley on the other side of the lake, prob try there unless anyone knows of a better option .
I go to most away games and about 1/4 of the home ones, would be good to meet up with fellow bluebirds from the north.

Kev.....I'll be going across from Leeds central. I reckon a quick pint in the weatherspoons at the station?
Speaking with friends from Donny they have said its probs best to grab a few drinks around the station as there is nothing near the stadium. Also been told its quite a far walk so a taxi or use of the "free bus" will be in order.

Welcome to the site Northwest_BLuebird, whereabouts in the north west are you?
Yeah I read on the football ground guide website about that bowling alley that has a bar. Might be better off having a pint in wetherspoons on Leeds station and then try and find somewhere around Donny station though?
Just checked the train times and reckon this would work out abut right.
Leave @ 11.00am from Middlesbrough - Arrive in Leeds @ 12.23pm (Leisurely pint in Wetherspoons)
Leave @ 1.05pm from Leeds - Arrive in Doncaster @ 1.37pm (Another pint or two near station, taxi or free bus to the ground).
How does that sound?

Wetherspoons on Leeds station it is, around mid-day to wait for the rest of the Bluebirds to fly in?
Leeds are home that day so perhaps the 'Scarborough' won't be the best choice! even though its a much better pub.
With Leeds utd being at home I would suggest we are all careful with wearing the mightly bluebirds shirt. I dont fancy an afternoon in the local A&E.
The rest of the plan sounds good to me.

That is an early start, we'll probably be about 3 hours behind you blackpool! If that pub on the station's going to be open I might get an earlier train and get into Leeds at 11.30 instead of 12.30.
Although now you mention it it is tempting to go really early and have more drinking time before the game. Hmmm....

That's a plan, I'll have a chat with Leedstaff about it tonight, just about to set off down to dirty Leeds now. 3 points for the mighty bluebirds tomorrow, come on!
